When I planned my dive trip to Con Dao, I was picturing stunning reefs. And I found them. But I saw something on the Amadive itinerary: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My heart jumped. This was more than a typical dive; this was an exploration into the past.

I'll admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive** were absolutely professional. The Divemasters gave us an excellent briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the story of the wreck, and what to expect below. The fact we were in a small group immediately made me feel safe.

Descending was unforgettable. At first, it was just a shadow in the distance, then suddenly it came into view. It is enormous. It's now a thriving new home, draped in soft corals and swarming with marine life. I spotted big groupers peeking from the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers hiding in the cracks. That feeling of swimming alongside this silent, ghostly vessel check here was hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling all at once. It's a piece of history under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I urge you this **dive** enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my diving trip.
